The province of Phuket is located in Thailand’s southern region (Changwat). Phuket, the second-smallest province in Thailand, has an area slightly smaller than Singapore’s at 576 km2 (222 sq mi). Before tourism, its primary sources of income were tin and rubber.
Thailand’s largest island is Phuket, and Southern Thailand’s Andaman Sea is where it is situated. The island’s west has a mountain range from north to south, and most of the island is made up of mountains. The Phuket mountain range, which extends for 440 kilometres (270 miles) from the Kra Isthmus, is terminated at its southernmost point by the hills of Phuket.

The city is a charming vacation destination thanks to its magnificent white sands, swaying palm trees, sparkling oceans, and bustling cities. On Thailand’s Indian Ocean coast, it is nestled in the warm Andaman Sea. The hot and muggy weather here lasts the entire year, with March through early May often being the warmest month. The local culture mingles ethnic Malays, native Thais, Thai-Chinese, and even sea gipsies. The island is home to many beach resorts, spas, hotels, and cafes, offering a vast selection of dining and partying alternatives. Despite being 49 kilometres long, Thailand’s largest island doesn’t feel like an island.
